Maroo Of The Winter Caves

Are you longing for the finest fiction story books to enjoy your leisure times? My suggestion for you will be the mind-blowing masterpieces of the Ann Turnbull. I was amazed after seeing her experience in the field of writing novels. She is an eminent writer who has written loads of fiction novels for the populace of young children and adults. Every single novel being released by her is an outstanding success in the society. I have become the diehard fan of Ann Turnbull. In my book shelf, everyone can notice that most of the spaces will be filled by the novels written by her.

I have read and love all the novels she wrote, specifically, the novel about maroo of the winter caves is my most favorite book in her release. The story is about the survival of the family of maroo during the winter season. Actually, this story is fully crafted by considering the final period of the Ice Age. The main character in this fiction story is maroo. Maroo is a girl in the Stone Age period. In this impressive story, Ann narrated maroo has a twelve year kid living happily with her family in the winter caves.

The story typically starts after the death of her lovable father, Areg. Areg is hunter in the winter caves region. He was being hunting animals like cave lion, hare, deer, ptarmigan, ibex and bison with the help of his brother Vorka. Vorka is the uncle of maroo. She was living with her mom, tikek, grandmother, uncle and her father. In the beginning of the story, tikek was pregnant. Only with the assistance of the hunting, the family was getting food to live in the colder region. One fine day, Areg and his brother went for hunting to bring food for their family. When Vorka got hurt, Areg went for hunting to kill the animals for procuring meats for preparing food. But, unfortunately Areg died after falling down from the long altitude cliff. As a result, the family was starving without food as Vorka also got hurt in the arm. Meanwhile, tikek gave birth to a daughter named nimai.

I felt very sad that, the family had no option for the state of survival. While reading the novel, the thrilling moments was being increasing. The family had only one option of letting maroo and Otak, maroo’s younger brother to move to the rescue camp located in the White Mountain. During their risky travel, rivo the pet dog of maroo assisted them for their safety. The trail to the White Mountain was established with dangerous glaciers and steep mountains. Maroo built her spirit to cross the mountain as she is responsible to save her family. In that course of travel, maroo missed her brother and rivo. I was about to cry after reading her situation. She was in the position of taking hard decisions whether to proceed to White Mountain for seeking help or searching for her little brother. Maroo kept her heart hard and continued her trail to the mountain to meet the rescuers. In the climax, I was happy to the extent as the 12 year girl brought back the rescue team to save her family. Also, Otak and rivo returned safely to the caves. That’s, the story ends blissfully.
